Spring in Gotham

A flower really does grow in Brooklyn, and spring in New York City is really quite beautiful. There is something to say about the contrast of hard, concrete and steel in the backdrop of soft and floral, gets me everytime. To congratulate this coming of season, a friend and I went to the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx to attend the Orchid Show, and this year it was Thailand themed. I know, keep your pants on, it was really exciting. Seriously though, what a great job, so many beauties! Here are some shots of the show.
