Cube is a SaaS Platform built with CFO’s in mind.

Our client (an expert on CFOs because she’s been one!) knows how much time the average CFO spends on small tasks throughout their day, when they should be thinking of the big picture: the financial growth and strategy of the company. By working with our client through Discovery phase in a project managed by NORU Studio, we worked together to ideate, flow, mock up and build a prototype platform that works to minimize errors, make up wasted time, and maximize financial planning and communication.

Flow, Frame,

Mock-up and Build.

My tasks for this projected were to meet with the team to go over the flow that they had created with the client. I helped clean up the story boards, sketch some initial ideas, and get ready to mid-fidelity wireframe out the platform. I asked a of of questions and used the clients research to gain insight into what the day to day life of the average CFO is like. I learned that much of their work revolves around spreadsheets and Microsoft products which are bulky and crowded and don’t allow for much communication with other members of the team. We then created purpose statements and ran a design sprint to launch some potential solutions to some of the main insights and assumptions we had about the challenge.

Prototype & Test

Building a clickable prototype from the wireframes took a few iterations and with the team’s feedback we got to a place that we thought showcased the flow and tasks a user would find the most compelling.

I then built the prototype using Invision and then met with the client to walk them through it. With some minor changes and client sign off, we then tested the prototype with users meeting the profile of our typical assumed user, got result and feedback, and drew up a report of our findings.
